Student Instructions
1. Read or listen to the description of the shape’s properties on each page.
2. Think about which 3D shape is being described.
3. Tap the flexcard
to check the answer.

ANSWERS: 1. Cube, 2. Rectangular Prism, 3. Square-based Pyramid, 4. Sphere, 5. Cone, 6. Triangular Prism, 7. Hexagonal Prism. EXTENSION IDEAS: Student Riddle Creation: Ask students to create their own “What Shape Am I?” riddle using a shape from the flexcard. They record themselves reading the clues and classmates guess the answer. Compare Two Shapes: Students choose two shapes from the flexcard and describe how they are similar and different using properties (e.g., “Both have 8 vertices but one has flat faces and the other has a curved surface”). Real-World Connection: Have students find an object at home or school that matches one of the shapes in the flexcard and describe its features using correct terms. V9 Australian Curriculum Links: Year 3 – AC9M3SP01 Identify and compare common 3D objects, describing features such as the number of faces, edges and vertices. Year 4 – AC9M4SP01 Compare the geometric properties of two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional objects, including variations within the same shape family.
